Alberto Iñurrategi, taking on Everest in the Alpine style

Alberto Iñurrategi, the climber from the province of Gipuzkoa, is going to try and climb Everest (8,848 metres) via the Horbein corridor and in pure Alpine style, together with Juan Vallejo and Mikel Zabalza.

It’s a passionate, complex adventure, as there has only been one expedition of this type ever in history.

Three months ago, Iñurrategi, Vallejo and Zabalza tried to reach the summit of Mount Makalu in this style, but were not successful. The climbers will set off for the Himalayas at the end of August.
