Pirena

PIRENA is 15 days of coexistence in the snow (the 2012 event is from January 22 to February 4) with the objective of crossing from west to east the Pyrenees mountain range in sledges (musher) or skis (skijoring) pulled by dogs. Pirena is a joint effort to live and compete of dogs and humans with a common objective, and represents an alternative way of crossing the most beautiful scenarios of the Pyrenees, crossing the lands of Aragon, Catalonia, France and Andorra.
TERNUA, as official sponsor of the competition that provides equipment to all members of the organisation, shares a common philosophy with PIRENA: that of caring for people, animals and the environment. TERNUA, likewise, sponsors one of the mushers with the best record of accomplishment in the history of the competition and winner of the 2009 edition: Iker Ozkoidi: Iker Ozkoidi.
